Asya Premier Suites

So what resort will give you this view in Boracay? It is located at the edge of Station 3, far away from the maddening crowd, but still accessible via White Beach. The resort is expansive, has just recently opened and is, for me, the best resort in Boracay.

Friends, welcome to Asya Premeir Suites.

From Astoria Boracay, we were picked up in a Toyota Innova by one of the staff members of Asya. We traveled 15 minutes into several baranggays, into seemingly nowhere. Then, suddenly, I had opened my eyes to a grand driveway, with a zen fountain in the middle. We were welcomed by the receptionists, who invited us for some refreshing pandan drinks, while we signed our registration cards. Arriving in a reception lobby that looked like those I see in high end resorts in Bali excited me to the bone. I knew I was in for something I never expected.

We were then brought to rooms via a golf cart. Funny how these luxury resorts use golf carts to bring their guests to their rooms, even if it was faster walking. The resort had detached houses, split into two levels. Each level was a suite in this 19-suite resort. Now that's what I call exclusive.

Nothing can replace the smile that I flashed when we entered our suite. This picture above was the living area. It had a comfortable day bed slash sofa. Instead of fresh fruits on the table, they served dried fruits in cute glass containers.

I turned my back and saw this king sized bed, that called me to sleep all day. I had to resist the temptation to just dive in under the sheets. Fortunately, the excitement of seeing the rest of the suite overcame me.

And yes, this was the bathroom. At the other end was a glass shower and the toilets. There was an outdoor garden, that could've had a jacuzzi. Yes, I was asking for more.

The toiletries were courtesy of L'Occitane. They were generous in all the amenities. Everything could be found in the bathroom, except for an electric shaver. Yes, who am I to expect more?

My daughter pulled me out of the bathroom and took me to the most spacious balcony I've seen. The resort staff told us that they would be setting up another sofa and table outside. The balcony was as big as a normal room already! And, yes, it gave us this jaw dropping view.

Our suite was right smack in the middle of the resort, giving us a central view of the most gorgeous pool I have seen in the Philippines. I was deceivingly huge, being circular in shape. We just had to rush downstairs to spend the rest of our day in one of the pool lounges.

After securing a spot in the pool, we headed to the beach. We really aren't poolside vacationers, so we decided to spend more time in the beach, as if we didn't in our past days in Boracay. We passed by their main restaurant called Palay on the way down.

Palay had a breezy atmosphere to it, sharing the same marvelous view of this secluded part of White Beach. I thought the restaurant was rather big considering that there were only 19 suites. I wondered if the place ever got full. I figured they had to attract dining guests from White Beach to fill it up. The food was not exceptional, but definitely above average. I hope the menu gets more exciting soon - probably by getting a celebrity chef.

We descended the last staircase and found paradise in Boracay. I knew Station 3 had less fine sand compared to Station 1, but it had no crowds. In fact we were the only ones in the beach for around 300 meters.

Yes, this is still Boracay. I looked to my right and saw the long string of structures along White Beach. I had to remind myself that I was still in Boracay, because it really didn't feel that way.

What makes Asya's beach more perfect is that it had coves and rocks that provided shelter from the blazing sun. You still get the fine powder white sand, but now with more drama.

The beach landscape was amazing, and again, I had to remind myself that I was in Boracay. Why didn't I see this 2 years ago? The beach to the left stretched until the very end, where the last rocks of White Beach perched.

There were no beach lounges when we arrived, but soon after, the resort staff arrived carrying Dedon chairs and benches for us to sunbathe on. Now that's what I call service. We didn't even ask for them. We were served cold water while soaking up the sun.

After spending a couple of hours on the beach, we went back up to the pool. I spent some time in their sunset deck drinking a couple of beers while taking a call for work. I must have been so nice to the person I was talking to, having been lulled by the cool breeze of the sea.

Our day was coming to an end, and we just spent the rest of it chilling out. There were only a few guests, and all of them were just relaxing and enjoying the views.

I am still at lost for words when I see our picture of Asya Premier Suites. I think this is the first resort that made me want to go back again and again. We wanted to extend our stay, but I had to be back for work. I think the resort is still in its soft opening, hence our rate of P11,500 a night was a steal. The package included breakfast and seamless van and speedboat transfers to and from Caticlan airport.

I wasn't expecting anything from Asya, so my experience was pure. I commend the staff who were all very friendly and accommodating. Their service truly made our stay memorable. I can definitely say that Asya Premier Suites is the BEST resort in Boracay, and I highly recommend it to all those who want a true piece of paradise and luxury along White Beach. I still can't believe this is part of White Beach.
