Villa Angelina: Maya-Maya, Nasugbu, Batangas

I was already satisfied with my Kawayan Cove rental. But that got me going. I wanted to find more vacation houses for rent in Batangas. I also wanted to share the experience with my close friends, so I decided to take them to a new house that I spotted online. It was named Villa Angelina.

Located in the Maya-Maya area of Nasugbu (after Terrazas but before Punta Fuego), Villa Angelina is an unassuming house from the outside. But as soon as we entered its gates, I was already jumping in excitement.

This is what you will see the moment you enter the front door. Of course, we all gravitated towards the veranda, with these 5 chairs facing the spectacular view of the sea.

We look to the left, and see two outdoor living areas. It knew there were 6 bedrooms in the house, but I didn't expect it to be THIS huge. We all scampered to discover the rest of the house.

I went back inside and saw the main living area, and a dining table beside kitchen #1. The videoke machine was located in the living area as well. A friend of mine began to sing while the rest went downstairs to check out the rooms.

There was a larger dining area that was outdoor in the lower veranda that can probably accommodate 50 people. The table as big enough for 16 already! The outdoor space was really generous.

I can imagine parties in this place. And the view continues on downstairs. There is also another kitchen, that is the one used more often. The bar is also located here.

Villa Angelina looks like two houses joined together. The main staircase actually connect both. This part of the house had the rooms, one huge master bedroom above and two below. The other three rooms were in the other house where the living and dining areas were.

The rooms were not modern and new, but it had charm and character. It's also not luxurious, but the size of the rooms made up for that. I like that all the rooms opening up to the view.

There was even a massage room, complete with dividers and two massage beds. You can ask the caretaker to call a masseuse for you.

But what I like most about Villa Angelina is the view, and the outdoor. Though the pool is probably the worst part of the house, all the verandas and balconies face a magnificent view of the sea and the Nasugbu coastline.

The garden itself can accommodate more guests. I can imagine having a party for 150 guests comfortably here. The pool as I've said is already old, and I wish that the owners renovate it and provide better pool lounges.

Villa Angelina is my best discovery for the year so far. I was already satisfied with Kawayan Cove, but this blew me away. The pictures in their website don't do justice to the real thing. So I hope that these pictures truly capture what Villa Angelina can offer.

For the same price of P25,000 a night for 6 bedrooms, this huge villa perched on top of the Maya-Maya cliffside reigns so far as my best vacation rental experience. Believe me, bring your 25 closest friends to this place, and you will have the time of your life. And you wouldn't think you're in Batangas.

  2. They have no website. We didn't go to the beach anymore, and I think there's really not a good beach. But the caretaker told us that it was a 5 minute drive down.

  6. spend the 2 days there with my family last week. Udeng and his wife,(the original caretaker) were very accommodating. but the new couple who just move in as the new care taker were very meticulous with the house.they are really annoying.

the "bayan" is 8km far from the villa. so make sure u have everything with you..especially first aid kit.

  15. I actually wanted to experience the eerie, creepy things like doors and cabinets opening by themselves. None happened.

The place was great though but the pool was exposed to the sun the whole day so you better swim very early or very late to avoid the burning sun.

You also have to give advance notice if you plan to cook there so that you don't run out of LPG and drinking water.
