Cabanas de Nacpan

There are several types of accommodation experiences in El Nido, from jaw-dropping cliffside rooms to rugged island huts. El Nido is the chance for you to indulge in all kinds of accommodations situated conveniently within each other. But there is one that may not be as popular in El Nido, which makes it more interesting and unique. It's countryside camping, and Cabanas de Nacpan is where you should be to experience this.

Cabanas de Nacpan is located around 30-minute away from the town center, on the access road going to Nacpan Beach. I was deciding whether I would check-in the more popular Nacpan Beach Glamping Tents, but I felt I wanted a more organic experience. Hence, I was lucky enough to chance upon Cabanas de Nacpan, which exactly gave me what I wanted.

Cabanas de Nacpan felt like a rural village. It's discreet reception area would be the entrance to a rice field wonderland of tree houses, nipa huts and tents. I booked a tent which cost me around P2,500 a night. Not bad, considering the other options nearby were priced at around P7,000 already.

The surrounding nature seems to look like as if it was landscaped, but my guide tells me that it is all natural. Cabanas de Nacpan is built to blend naturally with its natural setting, and Cabanas de Nacpan succeeds in that as you can see with the pictures. Now, just book me a seasoned chef and I can imagine having the most exquisite of dinners spent here. Kind of takes me back to my experiences in Bali.

My tent looked decent and quite comfortable. It wasn't air conditioned, but the staff told me it was cool at night. True enough, it was. the evening breeze was just right for a perfect night's sleep.

The shared toilet and bath were clean and spacious. And the area was well lit and paved, giving you peace of mind in that department.

There are also private huts offered, with some on tree tops to provide the best experience. There are 2 of these with their own private ensuite toilet and bath.

I was lucky enough to have the place for myself, as a large group has just left. I highly recommend this place for large groups, to book it exclusively, for you to truly live out privately in a countryside setting. What I loved about the place is the lounge area where hammocks give you the most peaceful views of the surrounding hills. Can you imagine the sunset sessions with chill music here?

So, as you can see, El Nido is not all about just beachside living. The Cabanas de Nacpan is a great choice for your second or third visit. It's perfect for groups and adventurous families.

Kudos to the Raffy Nur and his team who have created such a unique space in El Nido for us to fall in love with. We hope you can bring in morning activities or sunset events in. Till our next visit!
